SD Fine Art controlled storage is engineered to achieve the highest possible safety and security standards.
The secure storage facility has an Underwriter's Laboratory (UL) AA rated security system and is one of the only art storage facilities in the New York Metropolitan area to have a smoke detection system. Global Risk Partners, an independent risk management firm, awarded the controlled storage facility a top assessment for safety and security as part of their fine art storage evaluation program.

- Individually alarmed private controlled storage rooms - no "open storage" or comingled storage rooms
- Backup generator to power security systems in the event of an emergency
- Smoke detection system throughout the premises
- Video surveillance with digital archiving
- Comprehensive access controls include: staff and visitor checkpoint, I.D. verification, timed key-card system, and individually alarmed secure storage spaces
